Most grindable content for "traditional" MMORPG feel of getting rare drops?

I haven't tried proper instanced content yet besides T1 Fractals, but I want to dip in them once I feel confident in my quickplay raids.

Anyway, even though GW 2 is very unlike my title, I still want to feel the thrill of rare (Ascended) gear drops from repetitive grinding of a boss/dungeon. However, from what I gathered a lot of it is Daily/Weekly and then dip. Is there such content where you can grind it out until you roll over and die?

Edit:

Probably serves as a response to current comments: guys, I hear y'all, and I know what you're saying.

To elaborate on my post because I stupidly didn't, I'm looking for Ascended gear drops specifically from instanced content where rewards don't fall off a cliff after getting the daily/weekly done.

I started trying out raids and I was pitiful. Need tips Luminary mains!

So I started playing Quickplay Raids a bit with my GS/Spear Power Alac Luminary, and I did horribly. I wanted to get my footing in Quickplays before doing proper ones like the IBS easy 3, and then fully branching out. Anyway, I died a lot to the Minister Li one, even though I already got that like 3 times, I still don't know what's wiping me. I'm always like 4th or 5th place on Arcdps with a pitiful 12kdps.

Luminary mains with similar set ups (I got this from snowcrows), what do you do to help memorize your rotation? I wish snowcrows explained more in depth, since that helps in developing a rationale for every skill, not just simple remembrance, especially since I still don't know what the fuck my class does after 200 hrs. Why, in the middle part of the rotation, do I go into Radiant Forge only for two hammer skills then back out? My pea brain can't fully understand yet. I guess the main point is that can anyone help me rationalize and make a flow of how the rotation works?

What would be the role I should practice if I want to start entry-level strikes/raids?

I guess the title can be translated into which role (healer, dps, boon dps) demands the most knowledge on specific game mode mechanics? Maybe healers because of Toughness? I also didn't include Fractals because, I think, since Tier 1s are easy enough I can just learn most of the map mechanics there as I progress, regardless of what character/role I choose.

Edit: Tangent question: which game mode is the most grindable where you just go into it repeatedly for rewards?
