Ideas to Make Adam Warlock’s Impact Show Better on the Scoreboard

This isn’t really a suggestion to giga buff Adam. It’s mainly about changing how his impact is represented on the scoreboard. As we all know, Adam can look pretty bad purely from scoreboard numbers. He’s rarely the highest healer, resurrection can inflate teammates’ death counts, and people sometimes get mad at Adam for “ruining their K/D” with his ult because of a mistimed resurrection. It's unfortunate, but a lot of the value that Adam brings tends to go unseen. Obviously, none of that should matter more than actually winning the match, but I don’t think it would hurt to make Adam’s contributions show up a little better statistically.

Avatar Life Stream

I always like to pitch this idea whenever possible. I know it would inherently buff triple support but I prefer to go by the "default" standard of 2-2-2. Triple support is its own problem that needs fixing, and not at the cost of ruining any so called "triple support merchants."

If Adam uses Avatar Life Stream while directly targeting an ally in critical health, the ability gains one additional bounce at the end. That extra bounce would heal for 70% less than a normal bounce. A normal bounce heals for 95, so the extra bounce would be roughly 29 to 30 healing.

This would reward Adam players for deliberately targeting the teammate who needs healing the most instead of simply snapping whoever happens to be closest.

Healing / Resurrection Stats (Most important change I want)

Currently, Karmic Revival brings teammates back with 30% real HP plus 70% overshield, but the resurrection itself does not contribute to Adam’s healing stats or assists.

I’d change it to 40% real HP plus 60% overshield, with the 40% restored HP counting toward Adam’s healing stat. This wouldn’t inflate his numbers nearly as much as it might sound. Groot has 850 HP, so 40% is 340 healing. Reviving five Groots would therefore give Adam 1,700 healing. For comparison, Invisible Woman’s ultimate can generate roughly 950 healing on only two 250 HP practice bots and around 4,000 healing on five Groots (even higher than 4000 if they're taking damage within the ult).

I’d also make it so that if a resurrected teammate gets a kill during the duration of Karmic Revival, Adam receives an assist. Shields and overshields can already contribute toward assist credit, so resurrection support should probably work similarly.

Experimental Idea: Karmic Reprieve (passive)

I’m really curious what people think of this one because I know this would be a much bigger scoreboard change and could potentially have negative impacts.

When Adam resurrects a teammate with Karmic Revival, or revives himself with Regenerative Cocoon, that player would enter a temporary Karmic Reprieve State for 10 seconds (for visuals, give them a glowing effect or something).

The death that originally caused them to be resurrected would still count normally. However, for 10 seconds after being revived, the resurrected player would temporarily follow stat behavior similar to a deployable.

They would still be able to gain damage, healing, eliminations, and assists normally. However, enemy stats gained specifically from interacting with that resurrected player would temporarily not be recorded. This means that if the resurrected player dies again during those 10 seconds, that second death would not be added to their death count, and the enemy would not receive the normal elimination or damage stats from killing them.

For example, if a player is 10-2, dies, and is resurrected by Adam, they would become 10-3 as normal. If they immediately die again during the Karmic Reprieve State, they would remain 10-3 instead of becoming 10-4. This would also apply to Adam’s own self revive.

The player would not literally be classified as an object/deployable. The idea is only for their stats to temporarily mimic the behavior of a deployable. Deployables can still deal damage, heal, and contribute assists without every interaction with them being treated like interaction with a normal player (Peni nest for example).

After 10 seconds, the Karmic Reprieve State ends and everything returns to normal. Any future deaths would count normally again, and enemies interacting with that player would once again gain their normal scoreboard stats.

This would prevent Adam players from unintentionally inflating their teammates’ death counts by resurrecting them into a losing fight, while still keeping the original death that led to the resurrection.

My main issue with this idea is ult charge. Because enemies would temporarily not be gaining damage or elimination stats from the resurrected player, they could potentially gain zero ult charge from attacking or killing them. I think the solution would simply be to let ult charge generate normally even though the damage and elimination are not being recorded on the enemy stat board. Another issue I thought of was that this leans very heavy into denying the enemy statistics across the board. I personally don't see the problem with it, as there are already many abilities that do so (healing reduction, damage reduction, overshield, etc), but I can see why someone would probably not like this idea. Counter argument though, it's only 10 seconds and Adam has one of the highest ult charge requirements in the game. The last issue is ego. By allowing deaths not to count for a short period of time, it could potentially make bad players think they're good, leading to more toxicity.

TL;DR For Death Count

For 10 seconds after being resurrected, the player can still gain their own stats normally, but enemy scoreboard stats from interacting with that resurrected player are essentially temporarily paused. The original death still counts, but another death during those 10 seconds does not. Ult charge would still be gained normally.
