Just to be clear, I still love both Wicked movies and was on board with maybe 95% of the choices made by the creatives.
That said, I just watched the Elphaba & Galinda scene meant for between "I'm Not That Girl" and Elphie being invited to see the Wizard.
I only saw it once when the 1st film came to Peacock but I binged both films' available deleted scenes during my morning exercise (thanks to my sister getting me the 2-film set for my birthday 😄).
It was then I realized the scene had foreshadowing to TWO future events. Everyone talks about the scene foreshadowing Elphie asking Glinda to come with her but (and if someone already pointed this out, my bad) the beginning of the scene, where Elphaba says Glinda probably can't use magic because her life was so easy, was a great clue to the Grimmerie opening up for Glinda at the end of For Good (when her life becomes a TAD harder 🙂).
Again, I love both films and like to remind everyone that a lot of people complained about the length (not me, but i get that too 🙂), but I get fans' defense of THAT scene at least. It's short, nice character moment, and can probably even be inserted back with little fuss (didn't pay attention to the windows much but I didn't notice any blue or something that NEED a few VFX passes, not like the train journey).
