I’m currently Active Duty in the Air Force and in the IDES process. I just got my ratings back as 20% DOD and 100% P&T VA. I just had wanted some clarity about the medical severance pay and if the VA will recoup it.

My ODC attorney told me that the VA would not recoup the severance since I am still at 100% even when you take out the “referred condition”. My VA Military Service Coordinator told me that even in this case the VA would still recoup the money from my referred condition (in increments of $356.66 per month).

Who is correct?
