So Mimi Yanagi recently made a claim that she was recently arrested. Now this has been circulated around but no one has actually verified that its true.

Firstly, unless she was distributing actual CP, she would not have been arrested in the first case, so if an arrest happened, there'd probably be more to the story.

Secondly, there's the claim that she's allowed to continue streaming under a different name and it has to be family friendly. Now this wouldn't happen as of they wanted to monitor her it wouldn't need to be under a different name, and if she was arrested for this crime they'd just stop her streaming all together.

The response to this has the effect that I think was intended, a lot of people are criticising the current UK government crying censorship, (just ahead of the local elections).

I suspect that this is one of a few things, an attempt to get attention to themselves, an attempt to rebrand as family-friendly but claiming she had to, or a shift to being a right wing grifter.

If there's any actual proof, I'll happily admit I'm wrong, but all I've seen so far are tweets and a couple reddit posts
