I've tried la Cabra once before in Copenhagen and wasn't blown away but when I went this year I wanted to try a local subscription that would be delivered before I left and La Cabra was the only one that fit the bill. On top of this, they were offering Hacienda La Papaya for a large discount to first time subscribers. I have found all 3 beans quite disappointing, being darker than I would've expected. For comparison, I also bought a bag roasted by Europa at Konsjös in Vestamager (lovely people) for only ~£12. I have found the Europa beans much brighter and more expressive in comparison, whereas the La Cabra beans have been nice as espresso for me, which was not the intended goal. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, following the "which roasters don't miss" posts recently. Have a nice day all!
