The bolt for the tensioner bracket blew out and took the threads with it. After inspection I found the hole to have another bolt broken in it and the rest of the hole much larger than the bolt and having threads, assuming this has been heli-coiled once. I was able to drill the hole on the bracket larger and get a bolt to hold with a couple washers but after a few days worked its way out. My question is, is there another option to tighten the alternator, aftermarket bracket or piston, or am i going to need to pull the motor and drill this out? Great news is the upper bracket is warped so it holds the alternator up and the belt is still tight even without the bracket being mounted. Thoughts?
TLDR: is there a different option for 5sfe alternator bracket, or am I pulling this motor?
