Name correction
I’ve booked a classic rewards emirates business class ticket for my wife and I last year before we were married - thinking by the time we reach our departure date, her surname would be updated to her married name. This has not happened yet and she still has her current passport with maiden name.
I was originally told by qantas that the name correction back to her maiden name is not possible on international flights and because it’s an EK operated flight booked through qantas. I was then told by an assistant at emirates that this was possible and if I asked to speak with a superior at qantas they would coordinate together to have the surname updated. I called qantas back and explained this and they then put through the request.
It’s been months with no progress now, I’ve called back multiple times to follow up and every time they ask to call me back in 24 hours and I not once have gotten a call back. Every time I call now no one has any idea why it hasn’t been processed. Does anyone know what I need to do to have this corrected. The flight is a month away now and there is no equivalent flight to rebook a new ticket.
