Large Batch Chicken Cooking Methods
What is the easiest lowest labor method to cook large amounts of boneless skinless chicken thighs and chicken liver (together)? No recipes please, just method info.
No commercial kitchen. Not looking for award winning dishes here, looking for simplicity and lack of time/labor spent actively cooking it (ex: sautéing is the hardest of no’s) that will result in chicken that is not raw.
Crock pot: If the qty was smaller, it’d be going in a crock pot, but this quantity, that’s just not going to work without several more crockpots than I own (or want to have to store between uses.
InstantPot: same capacity problem, also requires frequnt attention
Roasting: may be a top option. Anyone know how many pounds of chicken thighs and liver can fit in a standard 2 rack home oven at a time?
Sous vide: no experience with this one. How expensive are the wands? Is there a limit to pot size? How many pounds of chicken can be put in each bag if using vacuum sealer rolls so bags can be made quite large. How much chicken can be put in a pot together/how full can the pot be.
Regular stovetop canning pressure cooker: I have one. I’m pretty sure it’s a 16 qt. It looks like I could put ~6 lbs of chicken in that each batch.
Any other ideas? ,
