Rescued this gal!

Rescued this gal from our local shelter yesterday! We’ve been talking about getting our second dog since our boy LOVES other dogs… intro was rough but they’re already doing a lot better this morning!

Would love name suggestions - right now leaders are Laika, Stevie, Jenny, and Ivy.

Would also like to hear everyone’s thoughts, do we think she’s pure golden? The shelter didn’t have any info other than she’s apparently 2 and came from a cruelty case. Getting her a DNA test just because im the curious type and want to know, but would love opinions just on the pics. She already has a load of known medical issues and others that are just obvious (this poor girl has AWFUL hips and a leg that’s crooked. Yes we’ll be taking her to our vet) and I’m convinced she was backyard bred.

Regardless, she’s a sweetheart and we’re going to give this girl the best life ever that she always deserved.

I feel like a psychopath?

After years of struggling, I’m now on day 3 of being nicotine free. Started with cigarettes years ago, then vaping, then Zyn. I woke up the other morning and just decided I was done and quit cold turkey. Something I’ve tried to do before but always failed miserably.

From the moment I’ve stopped, I feel like I have lost all emotion. Not mood swings, quite the opposite actually. I feel like the 8-9 years I was on nicotine gave me WILD mood swings. Within a few hours of quitting my mood is so… flat? Stable? Calm?

Is this normal? I should add that my relationship is in a crisis and was one of my motivations for quitting… she is my world and now that I’ve quit I just don’t feel like I care whether we make it or not; and I was just shopping for engagement rings recently and we’ve been together almost 7 years. I’ve fought like hell for this relationship and for us and overnight seemingly stopped caring.

I feel like everything I’ve read and been told says nicotine withdrawals make your mood and emotions more tumultuous, not the opposite? I feel better mentally and physically than I have in almost a decade but I admit the flat affect is kinda worrying me… has anyone else experienced this? I just feel like my experience has been backwards.
