Some Minor News from Kojima Radio Interview
Hi everyone. Kojima released a new episode of his radio talk show: KOJI10. He talked a little bit about Physint during it. There’s nothing earth shattering revealed. He mostly talked about the casting process. Below are some of the notes I took.
==========================
He specifically says it's a spy game. Metal Gear is name dropped by the hosts but Kojima says it's a different kind of spy action. He makes every game as if it's last game but he's treating Physint like it's his 40th anniversary (of being a game dev) game.
Bill Skarsgard and Woodkid are friends. Bill was visiting Woodkid's studio one day and saw KojiPro Merch and was asking about it. Bill has been a huge fan of Kojima since Metal Gear. Kojima and Bill had dinner in Japan and then met again in Sweden where Kojima pitched him the game. They have completed Bill's scan as well some of the other cast. Bill keeps asking for the script but Kojima doesn't have it yet but it sounds like the plot itself is already completed.
Bill and Charlee Fraser did a chemistry and camera test. The costumes they were wearing are not the final costumes. He started showing the hosts some of the unannounced cast on his laptop. Not really much info here but Kojima says one of the cast members specifically asked to be in Physint. Another one of the cast members is "huge". I think he's also showing actors he's hoping to get? He makes a joke that "Pitchman" is on his way.
He says since games take so long to make he really needs to make sure the actors and himself have a good understanding of the project.
