Best movies set entirely in a single room that still feel incredibly cinematic?
Looking for a masterclass in directing where a film embraces absolute confinement instead of running away from it. I’m not looking for static stage-play adaptations or cheap indie horror where the camera just sits on a tripod. I want movies where the director uses insane visual flair, creative camera and great editing to make a tiny, claustrophobic space feel massive.
Think Rear Window (1954)—stuck in one apartment, but it feels sweeping, visual, and intensely engaging the whole time.
