First Typewriter — (and!) Repair Question
After days of going down the rabbit hole on securing myself the perfect first typewriter, I landed on this beautiful Olympia Splendid 66. I’m really hooked, I can see this collection growing very quickly.
One thing that’s mostly cosmetic — but I would like to fix — is this sagging key here. I noticed when opening the typewriter, the mechanism that I’ve highlighted is slightly lower than the rest around it, which is allowing for it to sit lower on the keyboard, has anybody experienced this and have a solve for these typewriters?
On another note, how simple is the qwerty swap for a capable repair place?
