An update of my recent post in this community. I mustered the courage to get as close as possible to a neutron star. The ship got out of supercruise at 900 km. Felt good to get out unharmed and safe. Thanks everyone for the tips in the previous post.

After some exploration I searched the nearest fleet carrier so I could sell the gathered data. Maybe it was safe, but getting this close to a neutron star makes me feel kinda uncomfortable, so no, not going to do that XD.
