Hi would this cut on the sidewall get an advisory on MOT, its not down to ply and is very shallow but not sure if it would pass clean or get an advisory.

Hi all, I just viewed a lovely Puma ST and I looked under the bonnet and noticed that the sound deadening foam on the driver's side had be ripped up most likely by a mouse or squirrel, which of course could mean more hidden damage i.e. wires being chewed up. Other side was completely fine.

This is from a gates ford main dealer.

They've said they'll get it in the garage and have their technicians investigate it and replace the foam and they'll let me know if there's any issues.

The car is nice and a good price and not too far from me. Should I accept their investigation and go ahead (depending on the outcome of the investigation) or should I just avoid it completely?

I'm considering buying a brand new BMW X1 20i M Sport on PCP from Sytner.

The deal I've got going currently is ~11% off RRP, 2.9% APR, 48 months, 6k miles (I do less anyway), gfv/balloon £19.6k

Not sure what to put down but thinking of £4.5k which would put monthlys at £380 ish.

I recently had a bad experience buying an approved used cupra Formentor which I ended up returning for a full refund but they took my old car as part-ex and had already "disposed" of it before I returned the formentor so now I'm car-less and back searching for something to replace my old car. I took out a personal loan at 6.3%apr for part of the cost of the formentor which I've now paid off.

Does the PCP deal sound good? Monthlys would be just under 10% of my take home per month, so comfortable for me.

Opinions?
