For those who haven't tried Nick's journey but may be familiar with my other title, Bonded Summoner, this one is far more action packed and visceral, following Nick as a master swordsman from page one. The challenges Nick face, in the beginning, are more about keeping the girls protected as they grow, and overcoming their trauma and fears as well as taking on targets that simply can't be cut down with a sword no matter how awesome his Soul Knight class and Soul Blade is and how well he might swing it.

In these first three books, you'll see the love interests built up to become truly strong, and Nick grow into a better person as well. Eirwen (the sheep girl on the cover) motivates Nick to become better, just as the world of Orion helps him become more. In this world, every kingdom (at least starts out as) like a special City-state, where the tower/dungeon slightly alters those who climb it to walk down a certain Path, using cultivation and challenging them in unique ways. Nick's Path is the Path of Kings, and later, the Hero's Path, so that impacts all that live in his kingdom. For those who haven't begun the journey and might be daunted by a book 9 release, here's what you need to know.

What is Bonded Summoner about?

I think the blurb for the first book handles this well, but the story follows Jake as he joins(is forcefully drafted) a battle against an eldritch entity that resembles the MMORPG-style games he enjoyed in life on Earth, forced to crawl dungeons from his apartment until he defeats the first major challenge - a Trial where he faces a dungeon run by a powerful dungeon master who actively tries to defeat him (this is book 1). They gain levels from fighting inside, and he must make build choices and train to become someone capable of surviving this final challenge.

He is joined by monstergirl companions, from a dragon cultivator to a Nordic Valkyrie, to a Lamia and eventually a beastkin(Ravenwolf) from Highlands. They form a party of heroes, exploring dungeons, facing events that resemble those that appear in MMORPG's such as battlegrounds, a Rift-based Conquest Game war, and even a timed Fortress Assault/capture. They eventually form their own guild and rescue an entire world from this evil enemy, establishing their own kingdom that spans multiple worlds, as Jake serves his goddess Hestia as a Champion of family, protecting and exemplifying everything that this entails. There is a fairly large focus on magical crafting and research, as Jake and his wives unlock the secrets of magic.

The rest are very light spoilers, so you may want to move on if vague story happenings bothers or ruins things for you.

The tone is light and fun, with plenty of slice of life moments injected in every book; it's not all just fighting and leveling up. Not even close. This story is epic in both scale and scope, and it is still ongoing. It is progression-fantasy through and through, where multiple magic systems are blended and scaled, separated and compared by levels and Tiers. Gods are starting at Tier 5, and Jake is only Tier 2(count starts at 0) as of the end of book 9. It's fair to say Jake is probably only about halfway through his journey or less.

When will Book 9's Audiobook come out?

Anne and Jack both just started reading it! I'm told they will begin recording soon. It'll be a few months at a minimum, but it is on its way! This is my longest book yet, and it'll be ~30+ hours, so no doubt, it will take them some time to work through it.

Yes. That's why it's in the post title, and the cover is as it is. But my title has heavy progression fantasy elements, including leveling up through battle, crafting, magical research, and a mixed energy/path system that combines cultivation, spiritual elements, theological/mythological discovery and understanding, where several characters are making approaches toward godhood. Each character has their own paths and progression, and are important elements in the party. Girls are not just holes waiting to be filled, and the main character is a focused support character that helps the girls achieve their goals and dreams as they work together as a family to fight evil and establish their dynasty in the multiverse.

The cover is AI, heavily edited by my wife and I, as are all the other covers. The typography was my wife's. The writing is all my terrible efforts that many seem to enjoy/tolerate enough to keep reading.

Fun detail about yourself?

I believe the mod response always asks for this. I think based on my story, a lot of people probably realize I've played a lot of MMO's. My inspirations for this story, a lot of them come from World of Warcraft, but also my first true love: Dark Ages of Camelot. I played that game on multiple servers, reaching max level with probably over 20 characters, and reaching realm rank six on nearly all of them. PvP was my bread and butter, and I played with various groups on numerous servers when I was a teen. That was a long time ago now.

Hey guys! I've done a little bit of a cover rework for most of my books, creating new art, and was hoping to share that with you. They are much more dynamic now, with each girl having their weapons and poses, which I like a lot more than most of them 'just standing or sitting there' and so on.

Bonded Summoner Book 1, after 3 years of being out, has now also gone through a major rework/remaster. It was riddled with errors, and while I won't say that it is perfect now, it is much closer to the standard that I am currently at.

Every scene that was in the original book is still there. But now, the larger dumps and just constant focus on the magic system has been trimmed and tightened, allowing for a lot more focus on dialogue and actions instead of summary. I created several mini-scenes, extended others, improved wording, and more. All while keeping the book to the spirit of the story as best as I could, and I'm sure folks will notice much of it is the same, but enjoy a lot of the little tidbits that I've added.

The Foreword has been updated, so you can check for mentions of it being the 'remastered' edition there. EDIT: It looks like this has not actually been updated as of this particular moment, but it should happen in the next 48 hours, despite the cover having updated.

Anyway, I hope that folks can give it a shot, especially those that certain moments and things didn't land for them. I'd say the biggest chunk of the book that got rewritten was (spoiler to those who have not read it,) >!the moments after Ophelia's arrival, all the way up to the duel between Ophelia and Fhesiah.!< Aside from that, it's only smaller things and improved writing, to where people hopefully shouldn't feel like it's difficult to parse through, with my odd wording (at that time) and other errors. Now the book should flow much more smoothly, and be less of a clunky read. At the same time, the events and details are largely the same--old Bonded Summoner readers shouldn't feel like they need to reread it, unless they are super interested and kinda wanted to do that anyway. I'm certainly interested in hearing what you think!

Hey guys, I finally finished writing it, and hoo boy it's a doozy! It'll be well over 1000 pages, at over 275k words written, this is nearly a trilogy in a singular book, and my longest yet. Part of me wanted to split it, but I realized too late that honestly after making folks wait more than six months, it wouldn't be great, and I also didn't have a great splitting point in terms of a climax for Clan Hart.

Overall, I'm rather happy with the book and feel like there's plenty of great excitement that happens with twists and turns in the story, and I'm thrilled to finally have it done.
