I will be moving to a new area in the Midwest and am considering several options, one of them has an agreement with the local provider that each anesthesiologist is to provide equal share of 1 out of every 6 calls.
Obviously I will use a contract attorney, but does the language “Being available for night, weekend and emergency call coverage” not make you wonder what exactly constitutes “emergency” call coverage?
Likewise, it states “or be available for additional call coverage if reasonably required by the employer from time to time”
This seems like a vague trap to possibly force one into a call assignment not previously equitably assigned by the local chief or medical director. Would it be unreasonable to request that this has to be mutually agreed upon and if outside of the equitable share of call, subject to agreed upon per diem compensation?
When did you first realize this was what you were dealing with, and what did you find helped support expansion of meaningful, understood vocabulary?
My child is 2 and a half, he has been in speech and OT for over a year. He’s made tremendous strides with self care tasks, eye contact, attention span etc.
He even has a handful of single words he says that are contextually appropriate. We noticed about 6 months ago that his babbling transformed into a mostly non-comprehensible “script” with very articulate facial expressions, changes in vocal intonation and hand gestures. It seems very clear at times he knows what he is trying to say, despite what little we actually understand.
I’m aware that every kid is a little different, but does this roughly approximate the journey many of you with GLP children have experienced? He very much still struggles with executive function and planning tasks, so we are going to do everything possible to structure a moderately repeatable routine.
Any tricks to help expand vocabulary, even if it is scripted? Obviously less prompting and more animated statements of intent seem to be the primary goals I have seen, but I’d love to see what others have found success in!
