Obviously it’s been a tough year but it’s been fun and hopeful seeing the kids like Benge and Ewing make a lot of big strides this year. I know Ewing is in his first real slump but that’s all apart of the process. Benge been on fire both at the plate and in the field. reminds me of when Wright and Reyes came up and made an impact even in a rough year. it’s exciting seeing position players come up and do really good in both sides of the diamond

First let me say that I enjoyed Jaws 2 a frat deal as a kid. I knew it wasn’t the original but it was enter and much better than the other two sequels. However as I got older and was introduced to John Hancock‘s work I would’ve loved to see his version. The darker version would’ve been more interesting than just kids in boat getting hunted down like a slasher. I still enjoy Jaws 2 as a guilty pleasure but yeah I wish we hit Hancock version. Anybody else feel the same?

With the sudden passing of Butch Huskey it made me think of all the players we had in the 90’s. I went to a lot of Games at Shea and although it was rough the first half of the decade it gradually got better 96-99. One of those players who I felt was essential in the turnaround was John Olerud. I still remember hearing in the Fan that we traded Robert Person for Olerud AND cash. I wasn’t used to us winning a trade . Olerud is easily my favorite and the best first baseman we had besides Keith. it’s crazy when you look at his stats how good he was. He won two World Series titles, an American League batting title, and three Gold Glove Awards, and a 295 career averag. I was do sad when he left for Seattle. interested to hear your thoughts on Olerud!
