Commanders and gameplan, all are low bracket 3 except Blim who’s a high 4
1.) Ellie and Joel. Get Ellie out early, make tokens; put cards out like meat hook massacre or cauldron of essence; gives me blockers and disincentives attacking me, while I build Joel up and give him some equipment. Also saves me from board wipes as players will have to pay high health costs to do it. Lots of goad.
2.) Aloy; ooops all artifacts and counter spells. Plenty of copies to give aloy to replicate her ability, as well as blight steel and some cards like mycosynth golem to make artifacts for the free. Swing big then put out 20 big boys for the free, with big card draw.
3.) Aerith; probably bracket 2; just lots of lifelink and life gain abilities with storm and a lot of one cost spells.. and a lot of angels.
4.) Clamilton; I use the full text lines because why wouldn’t I. Big text boxes, big voltron equipment and a LOT of enchantments to make him indestructible. My second meanest deck because it’s just around stopping people from getting started.
5.) Jin Sakai; (probably high 3) voltron and infect, honor died on that beach. Bring out creatures with infect or death touch or “when creature does damage” effects. Make creatures with infect big or hard to kill, bring Jin in and have them swing unblockable to kill; or flying creatures with double strike.
6.) Blim is a High 4 maybe low 5. Was made in response to my pod power ramping and playing decks designed to win early/ prevent play (Alexios with land denial type stuff). Idea is play cards like demonic upkeep, use the good stuff, hit them with Blim, give them the lose the game option, or exile their graveyard them give them forbidden crypt, captive audience, grid monitor etc. just a bunch of bad cards to have thrown at you, with equipment tutors to give him landwalk.
Only reason I got this is for when people in my old pod got salty, they’d pull out giant bracket 5 decks to step on everyone… so I made a deck to immediately remove them. Out of that pod now but still fun to use when playing bracket 5s.
