SEEKING CARNIVORE-FRIENDLY DOC IN OHIO
54yr old Man. 2 yr carnivore.
Anyone know of a doctor in Ohio that is supportive and knowledgeable about carnivore?
My current doctor is caring, I think she understands keto, but will not go along with me on this journey and pushed back several times when I asked for additional labs (paying out of pocket). She finally ordered the labs when I allowed my frustration to show and she stayed in the room for an hour while she argued with me and expressed no curiosity to learn how I successfully stayed on the plan (despite my offering to do so sometime).
I think her greatest resistance was because she was unsure how to enter the order for the labs because she doesn't normally order them for any of her patients and I don't have any diagnoses any more - no thanks to her.
2 years ago, despite morbid obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, muliple hospitalizations with cellulitis and leg ulcer, she never once mentioned carbohydrates, sugar, keto, carb/sugar addiction. All those things are now gone.
We need to have providers who are team members propelling us forward rather than keeping us in the dark and inhibiting us. Time for a new team member.
