Hey guys, this post is driven from my nostalgia. Quake 1 was the inception of my first online gaming experience in the 90s. I played on AOL ping around 400-450 while still managing to gib players.

My game alias was RIP EM(DMPC), if I recall the.clan name correctly.

The quake server had the teleporting mod, heat seaking missles, grapple hook, and timed bomb.

There was this player that I will always remember. He was always on the top of the kill board and his game tag was GENERAL NUISANCE. His name would macro animate to BATTLE CRUISER TASK FORCE. I don't think I ever killed him and his ping was very low.

Anyway, just reminiscing the days of quake 1 online. Telefragging and gibbing were the days.
