I’d like to preface this rant with a deep appreciation for this community; I’ve been here for a little while , but generally don’t have much to contribute.
Here goes:
50F. Peri since approx. 2013. HRT since end 2024- (Kliovance) estradiol 1mg/norathisterone 0.5mg. Symptoms were okay for a while, until they weren’t. Changed up to Kliogest) 2mg est/1mg nor in Nov 25.
Since the beginning of January 2026 I’ve been bleeding. I mean, bleeding. Constantly. ‘Super soaker’ events at least twice a month-with ‘garden variety’ bleeding in between. To say it’s been disruptive or f**ked is an understatement.
I’ve had bloods done, ultrasound (external and internal-no fibroids, cysts, etc), with appointment with specialist gyno in a few weeks.
Couple of days ago had more bloods done and was contacted by Dr to come in ASAP. Appointment today was advised I need a blood transfusion- absolute anaemia.
Spoke with Dr about ceasing ‘Kliogest’ as that was the only thing I could think of that had changed in that time. Dr concurred it could be an idea.
Transfusion booked, also trying to push gyno appointment forward; after I’d left the Dr (having spoken to Gyn) they called to advise of new regimen of 2mg est/20mg norehisterone twice a day, if bleeding doesn’t abate, thrice a day. Talk of a Mirena etc were also mentioned.
Had to change my post title to rant, as that’s what it’s become. I’m just so frustrated and tired with the situation.
