Wanting to get back on the river. I paddle weekly all throughout my 20’s. Life happened and I completely dropped out of the scene for the last 15 years or so. 47 now. Need recommendations on a new rig. Everything is so different now compared to the late 90’>early 00’s. Started out on an Outburst… Loved my Wave Sport X boat but kinda grew out of it, rocked a XXX for a minute, rode a ProZone 230 for a couple years… my EZ went for a bit. My Transformer was the worst boat ever… paddled a Disco for a year then had to hang it up. Selectively donated all my gear to the next generation and never looked back. So now I’m getting old, I paid my dues professionally so now I have the time and loot to gear up and go again. Looking for a very playable runner. Not too short and flat, not too long and round. Not too creeky but not looking to mystery move either. 6’00”, 172lbs.
Oh yeah, what is the new paddle tech? I loved my AT2 carbon. That was super fancy for 2002
