Could a light that covers 5x7 would be good to cover everything from 35mm to 5x7 including 6x17 ? I have these panoramic cameras that shoot 35mm on 5" wide, same for 120 film, or 6x17. and a whole bunch of smaller formats like 6x9 down to 6x4.5.

So ideally a solution that does not require many masks. Something like an easel where you can adjust to the each size needed.

Then for scanning, would you scan filling the height and overlap by half an inch? Then stitch everything? Or try to capture the whole width and crop the top/bottom? I have never stitched images before. What I want to also avoid is using say a single 6x6 mask and advance little by little then stitch everything up.
