To rent or stay at home?

So I am 29M and make 60k. I used to live in an apartment with roommates for about 3 years but they all wanted to move home so I have been back with my parents for about 6 months considering my next move. The cheapest apartment in my area is around $1800 for a 1 bed and that’s not counting utilities etc. I feel like I’m in this spot where I don’t make enough to comfortably move out but also am at that age where I should be moved out.

While I have been at home I bumped my 401k contributions to 35% and have a decent amount saved and invested for my age. If I move my 401k back down to around 10-15% my take home would be right around $3500 for the month or so I think. I do have 0 debt but it just feels like I’d be cutting it close.

I do have a good relationship with my parents so it hasn’t been terrible at home and I have saved a lot these past 6 months but it does feel like it’s cutting into my dating life a little. Has anyone else been in a similar spot? I would easily be open to moving back in with a roommate but have no friends that are looking for roommates or they just want to stay at home for the time being. Thanks for any advice.

Best budget point and shoot for hiking photos

. Budget: $300-500
• Country: US
• Condition: Used or New
• Type of Camera: Point and Shoot
• Intended use: For candids, landscape, portraits on hikes
• If photography; what style: I like that film fujifilm type look and the digital camera look.
• If video what style: video isn’t necessary
• What features do you absolutely need: zoom lens. Decent battery.
• Portability: definitely something lightweight and portable
• Cameras you're considering: Fuji x10, x30, LEICA d lux 4, Canon S95
• Cameras you already have: LUMIX S5 but I find it to be too large often on my hikes
• Notes: Thanks for any help!! Maybe my best option is just my smartphone but would love dedicated camera.

Candida or geographic tongue?

So I have had this buildup on the back of my tongue for months now. My dentist and 2 pcp have looked at it and they all say it’s geographic tongue and benign. But it’s obviously very embarrassing for me. I hate it. Is this actually geographic tongue and is there anything I can do? I do mouthwash, I scrape back there but it is hard to get that far back without starting to gag. I can scrape off a little bit but I feel like it just comes back. I’m sort of lost on what to do. Thanks for input!

Which trail running shoe to get?

Hello!

I am looking to get a trail running shoe specifically for hiking. I want to ditch the bulky boot for summer. Not sure if I’ll do any actual trail running but I guess it’s a possibility. I was debating the ACG Pegasus and the ACG Zegama. I did see the Juniper 3 but looks like it’s the budget option and I’m willing to pay a little bit of a premium price on this. I do a lot of mountain hiking with switchbacks, roots, rocks etc in the PNW. Thanks for any advice!

▲ 4 r/litrpg

So I am not a huge LitRPG fan but I love video game RPGs so I thought I’d love LitRPG. I dove into DCC as my first introduction and have slowly got through all 7 on audio. I almost dropped it after book 4 but my friend loved it and I wanted to continue for him. I took a break from LitRPG for a few months and just started He Who fights with monsters on audio and already one of the biggest reasons I struggle with DCC is present in this one.

Not sure what to call it but it’s the AI descriptions in DCC or the descriptions when the MC levels up or picks up an item etc. It’s almost the way they are written that bugs me. Especially so far in He who fights with monsters. They are either very short sentences or long drawn out descriptions. And they often repeat the same phrases/commands. It’s almost annoying to listen to. I get this is probably a very uncommon complaint. Are all LitRPGs like this? Maybe this genre just isn’t for me tbh. I did really enjoy Operation Bounce House but I do not know if that is considered a LitRPG. Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I am looking to upgrade the radio in my Chevy Express and add Apple car play, and all the functionalities that come with it like playing music/audiobooks off my phone. I have heard installing a new radio for a Chevy express can be quite the pain. I see these 2 options, the first is the carpodgo and seems the easiest in terms of install as it doesn’t require me taking my current stock radio setup. The second picture is an apple CarPlay radio but would require me taking out the current radio and installing the new one. I don’t have any experience in installing radios. Any help on which one I should choose or alternative options? Thanks!
