Hello,
I recently bough a 2021 rx450h.
Decided to buy wireless carplay adapter as well - ottocast U2Airpro.
Everything is fine with it - it connect, shows me the Carplay mode but…
The sound if you play spotify (thats what i usually do) is terrible compared to simple bluetooth connection. Is there any way to improve sound quality or it is just because of the wireless connection and there is nothing to do about it?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Does anyone know how to get my Autolinkr to actually connect to my phone hotspot correctly? I keep having this message pop up every time I try to turn on WiFi
So i have a new carplay module (right picture) with this quadlock power system, and the old radio (left picture) has these input. Which cable do i need to connect the carplay module on the power system of the car, because the cable from the car is not fitting in this quadlock system.
My iphone is not connecting to car play, other people’s iphone connect normally, but mine is not. What settings do I have to change to fix this.
My car is Toyota Camery
My iphone 17 pro
Keeping in mind that it used to work before
Hello. Just bought a new car from a guy that took the stereo out and replaced it with a CP link. The volume button on the touchscreen doesn’t work and there’s no buttons on the steering wheel or physical knob to adjust it. How do I turn up the volume😭😭
TLDR; iphone 16 pro max disconnects from bmw carplay every time i use voice dictate, and will not reconnect unless i reboot my car’s computer system.
hi all.
i have a brand new 2026 bmw x3.
the first time i had this problem was literally driving off the lot the first day i owned it. it took 3 months to realize what was causing it. please let me know if anyone has any kind of experience with this because nobody knows what to do with me.
My BMW and iPhone 16 Pro Max are connected via carplay.
while driving if I park or at a red light, want to respond to a text message and I click the voice dictation button on my iPhone in any app, 1 of 3 things will happen:
I can’t just not use voice dictation. I’m paying a lot of money for this car and this seems ridiculous to have to just accept and get over.
when I have had my car serviced the loaner cars they have given me have not had this issue and nobody else that I know with a BMW has this issue so it is clearly a problem with my car.
however, the service department doesn’t know what to do with me. Who should I reach out to?

I have a 2019 Honda civic and for a few months now, I have been having an ongoing issue with the graphics becoming all weird looking when I’m connected to Apple CarPlay in my car. To better explain, the screen becomes all pixelated and then the colors also look washed out. When this happens, it’s completely random and it isn’t triggered by anything specific (for an example: using a certain app on CarPlay such as Spotify). Anyways, some days my CarPlay will do this to me, meanwhile some days it will be completely fine🤷🏼♂️
However, I did notice that whenever this happens, if I click out of Apple CarPlay, the graphics look completely fine on my car’s display system (such as the Home Screen).
I can’t tell if this is caused by some sort of issue with my car, or if it is an Apple related CarPlay issue :/
Dealing with a weird one. Wireless CarPlay in my car keeps stuttering, sounds like a scratched record. It’s when I’m listening to something like Books using the text-to-speech feature (no music, just spoken audio).
Here’s the part that’s been bugging me: if I turn CarPlay off completely and listen to my Books over plain Bluetooth, it’s totally smooth, every time. Zero issues. So it really seems like it’s something specific to the wireless CarPlay connection and not my phone or the car’s Bluetooth in general.
I’ve tried re-pairing from scratch a few times, forgetting and re-adding the device, messing with some connectivity settings on the car’s side, even tried a background noise trick on my iPhone to mask silent gaps during speech, that helped a tiny bit but didn’t actually fix it. My car is a 2025 Lincoln Nautilus and only has wireless CarPlay, no wired option.
Anyone else run into stutter specifically on wireless CarPlay while regular Bluetooth stays fine? Any solutions?
Need help brainstorming some different ways to upgrade my 2013 Avalon with CarPlay. I’ve seen dash kits but they’re glossy and throw off the look. I’ve also seen some people replace their whole radio with a 2015 model with a CarPlay update.
Anyone have any ideas? I’d like to spend less than $200 on this.
Thanks!
My phone connects to my GMCs Bluetooth but not CarPlay. If it does connect, it’s only for a second then it disconnect again. Anyone else have this issue? I assume it’s on Apple
Hi! I can’t seem to get Amazon Music to show on CarPlay (Carpuride if that helps). When I go into my phones CarPlay settings, the Amazon music app doesn’t show at all so I can’t add it to the screen. Any tips and tricks to get it showing in CarPlay and therefore on my Carpuride screen?
Official kits are specifically engineered to interface directly with your car’s original CAN-bus system. This ensures complete retention of your vehicle's factory hardware, including:
And most importantly, because official kits interface directly with CAN-bus system of your car - the Dead Reckoning system is present. Dead Reckoning is a feature that allows navigation apps (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) to continue tracking your position precisely when GPS signals are blocked—such as inside tunnels, multi-level parking garages, or dense urban canyons.
Rather than relying solely on satellite signals, the CarPlay/Android Auto protocol is designed to ingest real-time vehicle telemetry - specifically wheel speed sensors (wheel ticks), gyroscope/yaw rate data, steering angle, and gear selection (forward/reverse).
The presence or absence of Dead Reckoning integration is one of the most significant technical differences between official/OEM retrofits and generic aftermarket solutions.
Decided to post for educational purposes only, because no one seem to know, however it's probably more important for people who own older cars and want CarPlay/Android Auto.
Think about it before deciding to buy some Chinese knockoff retrofit kit for your car. Also if you already have wired CarPlay/Andoid Auto and want wireless - keep in mind that most wireless adapters don't transmit car telemetry, so its going to be using your phone GPS and nothing else.
Tried a couple cheap wireless CarPlay adapters and they keep dropping connection mid-drive or lagging when switching apps. Looking for one that's actually reliable, budget's not a huge issue just want something that works consistently. What's actually held up for you guys daily driving?
Hi everyone, I’m working on a car project where I’d like to install two separate wireless CarPlay displays.
One would be in the center of the dashboard, replacing the original head unit, while the second one would be positioned in front of the steering wheel and used like a digital instrument cluster.
My question is: can two wireless CarPlay receivers/displays be connected to the same iPhone at the same time? Ideally, I’d like both screens to receive CarPlay simultaneously from the same phone.
Has anyone tried something like this, or knows if iOS allows two CarPlay connections at once?
Thanks!
Has anyone else experienced an issue where Spotify continues playing in the background without pausing when an incoming phone call or text message comes in while using CarPlay on a 2025 Solterra? Curious if this is a known bug or if there’s a setting I'm missing. — feeling frustrated.
There seem to be a few CarPlay compatible options in the App Store nowadays. Any recommendation for the ‘best’ one?
