The title is pretty explanatory. Two days ago the audio directions from both Waze and Google Maps stopped coming through, although the maps display fine (2026 Subaru Crosstrek).

This has been tough in unfamiliar territory. Checked all the settings and they’re correct.

Ideas?

Did this ever ship? I have a vague memory of there being some excitement about this... and then nothing.

I've got stock CarPlay in my 2019 Kia Sorento with my phone running iOS 27.0.1 and I can't get it to work.

Since updating to iOS 27 I have been able to screen mirroring and using browsers on my CarPlay screen during drive with these apps. However, I’ve seen some comments online telling apple will patch it.
How will they do it?
By updating iOS?
Or changing the apps I downloaded from AppStore ?

Or how can I not be scared of loosing this power?

In my opinion, I’ve not been distracted while driving. The screen is still hands free, that is the only law we have in Sweden to be able to use it. I really enjoy CarPlay experience now.

Anyone else having issues since the ios27 update? My shazam is broken, Siri is super slow and buggy, says it doesn't have a home address when it does, won't switch navigation once started.

I recently got the new 18 and my VW Jetta 2016 is having troubles, I got a credible cord but occasionally my CarPlay won’t work and it will turn on and off. Is there a solution to this?

I'm thinking about running a Windows PC with custom apps on it for music and moves that I'd like to hook up to an existing wireless CarPlay system (2024 Chevy Colorado) via and HDMI adapter to the USB-C port on the dash. I know this already works because there are 'wireless HDMI CarPlay adapters' that allow you to plug in an HDMI source to the box and then ALSO run wireless CarPlay outside of the built in wireless Carplay. I've tried various 'wireless Carplay' solutions and generally they are not reliable so I don't want anything to do with thirdparty wireless CarPlay since I already have built in wireless Carplay.

What I am looking for is an HDMI adapter the mirrors on screen whatever I plug in to it, passes through audio, AND also still allows for the built in wireless Carplay to work, without having to physically unplug the HDMI adapter. Is there a device that allows that kind of switching either via software or even remote?

Ideally it would also share audio when switching between systems.

I bought a wireless car adapter for my car play, my car is a 2021 Honda Accord and it requires either an adapter or using a USBC cord for the car in order to display the screen for navigation, etc. This is my second adapter. And they keep disconnecting. I have to consistently unplug it and then plug it back in. Is this a common issue with car adapters or is there brand that is recommended, that won’t make me want to throw it out the window and run it over.
