New Hisense E7 Pro Displays Black Screen on Startup

I just purchased a E7 Pro Display from Amazon.de that was just delivered. After putting on the legs and turning the display on, I hear the words "Hold mute button for accessibility options", but the display stays black.

There are no red lights on the front panel, and shining a flashlight on the display at an angle does not show any images. Viewing the device from the top, I could see the glow of the backlight turned on as well.

A hard reset (unplugging, holding power button for 30s, waiting 10 min) did not work either. I was ready to return the device to Amazon when I decided to shine a flashlight through the vents. From the bottom vents (near the power button), I saw that one of the display cable ribbons was not seated properly.

Taking the risk of possibly voiding my warranty, I popped open the back plastic panel (there are 10 black screws holding it in) and discovered the display ribbon was improperly installed, there are two tiny metal guides on the side that hold the ribbon. However, whoever installed the board slapped the ribbon cable on top of the guides and slammed the plastic cable lock down on top of it.

There were no signs of wear on the cable, sliding it back underneath the guides and then closing the black latch fixed the issue and the display works now.

Most people should probably just return the TV, but having to bring the TV to the nearest Post and then having to ship internationally back to Poland just seemed like a hassle so I thought I'd share.

Here's the ribbon that was not installed correctly on my display.
