LSAT Tutor with 25 years of experience offering a couple of promos for the fall

I've been teaching and tutoring the LSAT since 2002 - for almost 25 years. I was the LSAT Product Manager at a major test prep company for several years, have helped write and revise multiple LSAT courses, and have been tutoring independently since 2012. My approach is based on working smarter, not harder; being efficient in the approach to the questions, and having a repeatable set of steps based on question types. I generally find that most of my methodology works well as a complement to 7Sage curriculum (question stem first, low-res summaries, etc) with some added nuances I've learned over my long LSAT career.

I have some space in my fall schedule and am offering a couple of different options for students. The normal policy is that I offer a free phone consultation (up to 30 minutes) for students to ask questions before scheduling. Right now, I am also offering (these are in lieu of the phone consultation) the first two hour session at half price, or a "no-risk" first session, which is scheduled for two hours but gives the student the option at the end of the first hour to end the session an pay nothing, but otherwise will be a regular two hour session billed at the two hour rate.

I generally schedule between noon and 6 pm Eastern, Tues-Sat, and my base rates are $100/hour for a two hour session. I do offer a discounted prepaid nonrefundable session if booked a week in advance, and am sometimes available for shorter sessions or meetings after my normal hours for a slightly higher rate. I never have students pay for more than the next session ahead of time, so you're not locked into a huge purchase of hours if you hit your target early, change your plans, or decide it's not a good fit.

If you're interested in more information, please message me and I'll send you my email to get more details about sessions and scheduling. Thanks!

Heads up - LSAT Self Prep paying tutors to recommend the course

I just got a PM from someone who I assumed was PMing me about looking for tutoring. Instead it was someone who wanted to tell me about this exciting opportunity (/s) to get a kickback for referring students to his course.
Just wanted to give students the heads up that if a tutor seems REALLY eager to tell you to sign up with "LSAT Self Prep," it's probably not because they think it's the best course, but because they are being paid if you do. I can't imagine it's much, given the cost of the subscription, which in a way makes it even sadder. I'm guessing too that none of them will be disclosing that they were paid to make that recommendation.

Rewards tier questions

I managed to just make enough points to hit top tier rewards before July 1. My understanding is that it's good through 12/31 and I have to earn another 2000 (?) before 1/1 or it will drop down. But the app just says "continue to earn points and retain your status." I haven't even been really this month so I'm sure it's around 1900 I have to earn to renew, but it doesn't tell me. What am I missing to know how many points I still need?
