Let’s start with mine:
Class 802 TransPennine
Class 43 HST (All Liveries)
Yesterday late evening and late morning today, I saw heavy passenger activity while operating one round trip per mentioned timing. In my case, I operated Regional Semifast Services with the Class 802 TransPennine between Avonhill and Leaton. The doors on my train opened at every single stop made and accumulated more passengers (while it also may have dropped some off) at each intermediate station. Even Bawtry Road, which we all know is restricted to limited Regional Locals only, comprises numerous passengers on both platforms. Is anyone else experiencing heavier passenger activity at each station? Let me know...
Come to think of it, I have been finding myself operating Intercity Express "Shuttle" Services where I localize my service route to between Brynmouth and Pencarn only. I say this for good reasons - the high number of bridges that drivers and passengers traverse for only a 9-Mile stretch, the excellent backdrops, and so on. The brevity of each trip further proves these facts. I enjoy seeing lots of HSTs too although the Class 802 TransPennine remains my #1 Favorite Train to drive. Not to also mention that in every single short Intercity Operation between Brynmouth and Pencarn, my train saw heavy passenger activity right from the get-go on opening day! I hope this trend will continue even as we transition to a new week of "workdays" or "school days" or whatever it is for the AI Passengers.
Scenes from my debut Regional Semifast Service from Avonhill to Pencarn and Intercity Express "Shuttle" Services between Brynmouth and Pencarn! All trips were operated with a Single 5-Car Class 802 TransPennine. LOTS of passengers traveled on my trains today!
Did you know by the way that the Class 802 TransPennine is my #1 Favorite Train to drive?
Everyone knows of tomorrow as the big day where the Mill Bridge Main Line will extend beyond Brynmouth up to Pencarn with 6 additional intermediate stops. The excitement can’t be higher enough. In response, it’s worth reminding those of you trying the MBML with its new extensions to please allocate extra travel time in both directions. Funny thing I also need to remind myself this too.
We understand that this is only a trial as per the developers. But for me, I am thrilled to no longer worry about needing to stop at Belmond Green when operating Intercity services into and out of Avonhill. I like how, for example, I will be able to drive straight to Leaton as my first stop after leaving Avonhill when I operate an Intercity service with Class 802 TransPennine to Brynmouth or Cuffley. Tell me your thoughts on Intercity seeing reduced services at Belmond Green effective this Saturday!
