My grandfather bought a high end 65 inch Sony OLED tv in around 2018-2019. I bought my 65 inch Samsung Neo QLED in 2022-2023, and it’s absolutely perfect for gaming because of the VRR and brightness. I have been collecting 4Ks for years and have never been able to use Dolby Vision because of the Samsung, but the image clarity is very good and there is only SOME negligible haloing.
My grandpa recently went to an LTC home, and my dad is clearing the house to be sold. The tv is mine to take for free but I don’t have room to set up 2 TVs in my main chill room. Should I move the Samsung to another room or sell it for the improved blacks of the OLED? Is the age gap in the TVs a deterrence? I really want Dolby Vision but I also want a good gaming tv. Help!
