Vegetable Oil on New Boots!

I would love some advice on this one, as I really did a job on these. Brand new Lanx boots in the UK, I managed to knock over a bottle of vegetable oil in my car foot well with my boots. When I picked them up the next day, the leather was soaked with vegetable oil. I've worn them maybe 3 times.

I've used saddle soap, applied cornflour and left them over night to soak up oil, and used diluted dish soap to try and get the stain out. I think it may be slowly coming, but after 3 days I'm losing faith. I have contemplated:

- Vegetable Oiling the whole boot (pair)

- Using WD40, but not certain

- Sticking with cornflour

- letting it dry and just accepting it by applying balsam to the boot

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be thrilled!
