DFC (Doug From Cycle) does it again.

DFC (Doug From Cycle) does it again.

Stopped by on Saturday 35 minutes after opening. The guy in front of me got the last bottles of the Oreo release. While I was disappointed, this "consolation prize" is anything but. Absolutely FANTASTIC!

I can see why almond is Doug's favorite.

Absolute coconut BOMB!

This is classic Cycle BA Coconut Stout with the added benefit of a Prichards barrel.

My GOD is this delicious.

Last of my 2026 DBAIGCCS

This weekend is worthy of this beer. As will be the other beers that I pop this weekend.

Cheers!

Old School flavor with World Class process - 5Cases

Around 15 years ago I had my very first BA Stout; Bourbon County 2011. I was absolutely blown away. The flavor profile was unlike ANYTHING I had ever tasted. It was, to put it bluntly, revolutionary. The flavor profile of bourbon with a hint of Stout.

Ever since then, brewers have "improved" their process by increasing ABV but decreasing the spirit flavor. This practice hasn't stopped. Its all about the "High ABV with zero burn" philosophy.

This bottle 100% returns to the OG belief.

You cannot mistake the Prichard's Brandy Barrel presence. It is 90% of the flavor profile. And it is amazing! I truly miss breweries pushing boundaries. Its a philosophy that has disappeared from most of the current Craft Brewing segment. Its all about profit margin.

This bottle, without a doubt, throws a middle finger to the trend. This is OG beer. And I IMPLORE you to seek these establishments out.

Cycle - Prichard's Rum Barrel w/Hazelnut

Stopped by "5Cases" (aka..Cycle Brewing) and grabbed several bottles for carryout. This one, in particular, was bottled yesterday. So while they (Cycle) are not brewing beer, he (Doug) is still releasing beer fresh from barrels. And that beer is phenomenal!

I don't typically go back to staple beers often. But I'm so glad the local store, here in Valdosta, had this fresh.

Canned 36 days ago.

And luckily, this branch of the hotel chain actually has glasses. Typically it's the worst possible plastic cup you can imagine. And I actually travel with my own glass because of it.
