[NES] [Early 90s] RPG Mystery Game
Hey y’all, I’ve got a bit of a long shot here and not much to go on. I rented an NES or SNES/Genesis (I’m leaning more towards NES) game back in the days of Blockbuster, but I never got to finish it. The main points I can remember are it was a top down scroller, there were pyramids in part of the game, something about a panther stands out in memory, and your decisions impact the rest of the game. I think you accumulated a group over the course of the campaign, and there was a dagger (or something along those lines) that had a recess for a gem or stone you would have found earlier in the game (it was a key point to progress from where I was) but we had to return the game before I could finish. It’s been floating in the back of my head for 30+ years now but I haven’t been able to fully remember or find it. I’m building up my retro gaming collection again and any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated so I can rediscover it, buy it, and finish the journey I started three decades ago. 🤞🏼
