Outer Banks Soft Top Owners… Still Love It?
Currently researching Broncos pretty heavily and would love honest feedback from people who daily drive an Outer Banks, especially soft top owners.
I’m in the Chicago suburbs, so this would be dealing with Midwest winters, highway driving, snow, cold temps, salt, etc. and I’m trying to figure out what ownership actually feels like long term after the honeymoon phase wears off.
A few things I’m especially curious about:
• How loud is the soft top on the highway REALLY?
• How does it do during winter/cold weather?
• Any issues with:
- wind noise
- rattling
- leaking
- drafts
- wear over time?
• Does the soft top still feel worth it after the “new/fun” factor wears off?
• Is operating/removing the top realistically easy for one person?
• How often do you actually drive with the top open or removed?
• Any regrets going soft top vs hard top?
• How noticeable is the road noise difference between the two?
• How comfortable is it for everyday driving and longer highway trips?
• Anything you unexpectedly LOVE or HATE after owning one for awhile?
And biggest question:
If you could go back, would you buy a Bronco again? Would you still choose the Outer Banks soft top?
Would really appreciate honest long-term owner feedback.
