When I bought my ZHP, I didn’t see many people recommending a fuel filter replacement. After I started experiencing throttle hesitation, rough idle, and inconsistent power delivery, I went down the usual rabbit hole chasing vacuum leaks.

My advice: before diving into all that, replace the fuel filter—especially if you don’t know when it was last changed. Mine turned out to be 10 years old. After replacing it, the car completely woke up. It feels like I gained 30 horsepower.

I couldn’t be happier because this is a very straightforward DIY project. Should be done every 2-3 oil changes depending on fuel quality.
