Saw this interview of Mark yesterday at the Upfronts and he was asked about a Maura Higgins partnership. He played mum and said there’s no plans on a return just yet (though he technically can’t confirm a return this soon) and redirected the conservation to say she’ll be great on it. I have a feeling he isn’t planning on returning for S35. This combined with the video he posted yesterday, it seems like Broadway and his music is priority, and I’m happy to see what’s next for him! Someone posted a video of his mother Shirley potentially spilling that he may be returning as Billy Flynn in Chicago in July or may be taking a different Broadway role. I saw him in Chicago, and thought he was amazing alongside Whitney and would love to see him in more roles.
What are your thoughts? He’s always pretty neutral in interviews but a lot has pointed us to assuming he may be prioritizing other job opportunities this year rather than returning to DWTS. Plus with a new pro coming on board, it may be a possibility he sits this one out.

Totally forgot about this interview Whitney did back in 2024 but almost the exact wording in this interview of her talking about an OC version of SLOMW makes me think this was her idea or she had something to do with it. “Orange County, put me on Newport Beach” 👀 This combined with Avery Woods saying Whitney was the one who reached out about the opportunity… combined with the clip we saw posted earlier today of her in S3 telling the women she was going to start her own MomTok…
It adds up! I do think she was supposed to headline OC spinoff or at least be part of it in some way, and then backed out for other opportunities (which good for her, smart move) but kind of sad because I actually enjoy watching her on TV. I definitely would have preferred her over Jen.
Also if this actually was Whitney’s idea… it’s so whack Jen treated her that way and then took a spot on the spinoff. Girlie should be thanking her.
