I’m thinking about some of those with dance experience - really good but no chemistry??

Had brunch today at a restaurant near Nats Stadium and Alan, Emma, Britt, Brandon, Adele, Adele, Haley, Carter and Kamri were there. Assume they are performing at the Banana Bowl?

I keep seeing this sentiment going around. I felt like with Taylor, Britt got a decent partner this go around. Like was he an obvious ringer with dance experience like Harry? No. But he does have a musical background. Which even if not dance related still can be helpful.

He was also not like this super old guy who was unathletic and set up to fail. He was young enough to pick up choreography and learn and fit enough to do the moves.

This talk makes it seem like they stuck Britt with some guy who was meant to fail. That’s just not the case.

Even in terms of popularity, people were saying he’d have a lot of fans. Obviously that didn’t pan out but you cannot know how truly good most of these people will be before the season begins.

So this idea that Britt was given some sort of loser who was destined to go out early is not true. Taylor was decent enough but just didn’t catch fire. Britt had a partner who could have worked but it just didn’t happen for her this season.

I completely understand wanting Britt to get better partners, but I don’t understand why that conversation has turned into constantly tearing Jenna down or acting like her entire DWTS career has just been handed to her.

Britt and Jenna actually have pretty comparable beginnings on the show. Jenna joined the troupe in Season 18 and spent several seasons there before becoming a pro in Season 23. Britt joined the troupe in Season 22, became a full-time troupe member in Season 23, and was promoted to pro in Season 29.
And Jenna’s first season as a pro wasn’t some dream run — she and Jake T. Austin finished 13th. Since then, she’s built a record that includes four finals: two wins (Adam Rippon and Joey Graziadei) and two runner-up finishes (Nev Schulman and JoJo Siwa).

Britt has now had seven seasons as a pro. Her best finishes have been 6th with Johnny Weir and 5th with Daniel Durant, both of whom made the semifinals. She absolutely deserves another partner with real potential, and I understand the frustration with some of the partners she’s been given, especially recently.

But two things can be true at once: Britt deserves better opportunities, AND Jenna has earned her place on this show. Jenna spent years in the troupe too, had an awful first season as a pro, and then proved what she could do when given competitive partners.

Wanting Britt to get a ringer is completely fair. Turning Jenna into the villain because she got Harry isn’t.

Please, let’s stop with this constant online hate. It’s getting annoying.

I enjoyed Yacht Rock Night more than I expected to, and now I wish they would do an ABBA night! Anyone else agree? And what song/dance combo would you want to see?

Is it just me or does a lot of cast this season just seem more nervous than previous seasons?

For example all I see on Julia’s face is nerves like pretty much all night but especially before she dances. Same with Tyler you can see his nerves before he goes on. I think this is part of the reason things feel so off and weird this season
