Have you ever asked a customer how they are doing and had them respond “better than you” what do you suppose that they mean by it?
Do you suppose they are judging you simply by the fact that you work retail/in a retail store or more on the fact that you look like a bum? Could it be all of the above or who the fuck even cares?
He threatened to call corporate and get people fired and/or possibly deported all because he was waiting in paint for 20 minutes and in spite of people being paged, no one ever showed up. Some people are flat out ridiculous. Gone seem to be the days when rather than waiting and/or making threats if someone wasn’t helped in a reasonable period of time, they’d simply leave and go elsewhere. They wouldn’t act like a second or third rate Home Depot store was “the only game in town.”
It’s funny watching someone quickly change their tune from “finding everything alright/can I help you find something?” To “I don’t really work here/don’t work for Home Depot” after the person has turned them down and they realize that they aren’t going to get a lead (probably) out of that person. Is this commonplace or are people working in these lead generator/appointment setter positions just moody in this area? (NY Metro)?
Many people take non verbal responses from customers as an “insult” as if the customer by not saying anything is actually saying “you are less than nothing and are unworthy of me taking the time to acknowledge and verbally respond to.”
He’s pissed about being “lied to and misled” by a solar rep something to do with rebates/tax credits or something the solar rep claims he was clear about the promised rebates and tax credits, but this customer just heard what he wanted to hear. Now the customer keeps calling the store demanding that the solar rep be disciplined or terminated, he’s threatened to contact the district manager about it and even go to the better business bureau. Even though the customer seems to be a few fries short of a happy meal, I can really see a possible scenario where this solar rep gets thrown under the bus and loses his job because of this customer pitching a fit.
I have no clue what this woman’s particular problem is with me, we never dated and were certainly never intimate. But for some reason, she’s been going around telling other women that I’m “probably a very selfish lover” and one time she came in and looked right at me as she was walking by and yelled “you’re a fucking asshole.” Some people have said that she’s angry that I never asked her out or tried to sleep with her, but she really doesn’t do anything for me and this doesn’t seem like professional behavior lashing out like this because someone you’re interested in has no interest in you.
Several women admitted that the ladies room was “unacceptably disgusting”with trash on the floor, shit and piss all over the seats and the walls, toilet paper out of the holders and tossed all over the place etc. This janitor was asked to clean it and refused saying that he “didn’t have time” his boss was called and within minutes he was cleaning both the men’s and women’s bathrooms from top to bottom with gusto. What do you think his boss threatened him with, termination, deportation, both or something else?
If you were buying a piece of furniture from HomeDepot.com would you pay the extra $200 or whatever it is to have a Home Depot pro assemble it for you? You could probably spend the same money or less to buy a finished piece from a furniture store.
Two male department heads had a separate sexual relationship with the same female associate, both men were fired and the woman remains employed. I don’t get why anyone would be terminated for this as these were three grown adults over the age of 21 and this stuff happened outside of work. Very few people even knew about it until after both male department heads disappeared and stopped showing up to work.
