Hello everybody, I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease.

I’m not surprised at all. I have been lax in personal accountability from, fast food, sugary drinks, the works. Luckily my numbers are only slightly elevated and the ultrasound didn’t show anything too serious. Now I’m on the road to reversing this problem through exercise and changing my diet. I’ve lost 15 pounds thus far( 324 lbs down to 309). I’m staying in good spirits and have a great support system, being my wife and kids.

Weight loss and calorie intake with slightly elevated AST/ALT levels.

Hey all, I’m a 33 yo male, I’m 6’ tall and I’m 309 pounds(down from 324). I take Lorsartan 25 mg and adderall 10mg( morning and afternoon doses) for ADHD. I got sick of my weight and I have always been tired of just feeling unhealthy. Recently I went to my yearly physical and blood work followed shortly after. Most of my numbers were good ( slightly elevated triglycerides and LDL). My AST and ALT levels were also slightly elevated so my Dr requested an ultrasound of my liver. The ultrasound showed a fatty liver with no mass (not sure what no mass means and to be fair I didn’t ask. I’m assuming cancer or lesions?). Anyhow I’ve been working out like walking more at work and brisk walking with my wife at home for a couple of miles. I try and keep an elevated heart rate of 115-120 bpm which I monitor with my smart watch. I have also started weight training more every other day, as well as, cut back calories to 2000 calories per day with a lot of them being protein and healthy complex carbs/ fats. I weigh and measure my food accordingly to try and stay in this deficit. So far it’s been working, but I’m afraid I’ll lose weight too fast. I am going to be scheduling an appointment with a dietician to make sure I’m not eating too low of calories per day. For now, I’m curious if burning fat by dropping weight too fast can overwhelm my already overwhelmed liver and does this calorie intake of 2000 calories/ day to low and cause me to lose weight to fast since I have been a lot more active? I’m sorry for the long post and any input is appreciated.

Hello all, first time user here. I’m looking for advice on how to safely and efficiently cut back on calories while also weight training. To start out, I’m a 6.0’ tall 320 pound male. Most of my weight is carried in my midsection. I started cutting back calories(not severely) a couple of weeks back. I then wanted to start weight training along side the calorie cut back. I plan on going and seeing a dietician at some point but for now, I’m reaching out for any advice. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
