For those who’ve already seen the image and the spoilers

It’s honestly sad what happened to Honami character. She basically turned into Ayanokoji’s lapdog and a crazy yandere who’ll probably end up sacrificing her entire class just to get his attention.

I don’t know what Honami fans think, but personally I think she’s become a genuinely pathetic character at this point.

And honestly, I wouldn’t expect anything good for her in the future either. There’s a very high chance she’s heading toward a horrible ending. Not in the sense of bad writing — although you could argue she already has that right now — but in the sense that she’ll probably end up getting humiliated and expelled in the worst way possible.

With the new Year 3 Volume 4 Toranoana SS featuring Koenji & Mii-chan that we already know is coming in the next volume, I feel like a lot of interesting things are about to happen. Honestly, I’m really excited to see what they’re going to tell us, since, like I’ve mentioned in other posts before, Koenji is one of my favorite characters even though we still don’t know that much about him.

And getting an SS focused on Koenji and Mii-chan is genuinely interesting. What are they going to reveal? Will we finally find out if Koenji actually has feelings for Mii-chan? Or will it be a conversation about how and why Koenji saves Mii-chan during this new island exam? Maybe we’ll finally get to know a little more about Koenji’s past or gain a better understanding of the way he truly thinks. I really don’t know.

That’s why I think these two lines from the Year 3 Volume 4 synopsis:

"And by exploiting the rules, a certain student starts going on a rampage——!?"

“I was the one who decided to have you expelled, after all. I suppose the least I could do is entertain such a wish.”

might actually be connected to Koenji and Mii-chan.

I don’t know what you guys think, but one thing’s for sure: I seriously can’t wait to read the new volume.

I’m not sure if the alliance between Ryuen’s class and Horikita’s class is actually going to happen, but if that’s what Kinu has planned, honestly it feels kind of dumb to me.

I mean, Horikita already has a student in her own class—Koenji—who’s probably at least as valuable as Ryuen’s entire class combined, if not way more. So I don’t really see why she’d go out of her way to form that kind of alliance knowing that.

With Ayanokoji, I get it. It makes sense that he’d push for something like that—at the end of the day, he’s just playing everyone, and alliances are just another experiment to him.

A lot of people will say, “Well, you can’t trust Koenji,” but honestly, who in their right mind would trust Ryuen? They’re both deceptive in their own ways. If that’s the case, I’d rather take my chances on the one who could give me better results—which, in my opinion, is Koenji. And like I said, he’s in her own class.

With Ryuen, just by the fact that he’s in another class, you know that sooner or later, if he finds even the slightest opportunity to gain an advantage over Horikita’s class, he’ll take it and betray her, because he will always prioritize his own class’s interests.

With Koenji, Horikita already knows what he’s capable of and the level of his potential. She’s also seen that if you give him the right incentive, he can act in her favor. I understand that something similar can be said about Ryuen, but again, with him you can be pretty much certain that he’ll betray you the moment the alliance stops being useful to him and his class.

In both cases—whether it’s forming an alliance with Ryuen or relying on Koenji—Horikita’s class would need time, strategy, negotiation, and constant vigilance. Knowing all the effort it takes to make an alliance work, if I were her, I’d rather invest all of that into getting Koenji to cooperate with his own class.

But hey, that’s just my opinion—what do you guys think?
