I’m glad Lala made Nia and Danny’s argument her business
As someone who has seen a woman get berated by her husband at a busy bank and my 19 year old self meekly speak up about it while in tears while others just stood and watched, it was really awesome to see Lala say something to Danny.
Jesse’s complacency with the situation only makes me think that he’s probably done the same or tolerates it cuz he sees no issue in it. It reminded me of how the bank teller just handed me a tissue as I shielded my face from all the onlookers while I too was triggered like Lala was.
I wish in situations like this, there was more done (or said) to people like Danny and less eyes (and less said) to people like Lala. It normalizes that type of treatment when it’s absolutely not okay.
It can be very scary to step in and say something to someone in that instance as I have been in the same situation so while I have a lot of opinions on Lala, I’m glad she said something despite feeling like she was overstepping as did I during my situation.
We should all say something when we see someone doing or saying something wrong.
