Backpay or no?

Background: rated 80% for two conditions. 70 ptsd and 20 for shoulder.

December 2025: files for tdiu and couple increases at same time.

Jan 2026: mental health C&P

Jan 2026: decision letter for ptsd reduction and all others deferred.

Feb 2026: submit HLR for ptsd

Feb 2026: DTA error found

March 2026: tdiu denied because of ptsd reduction that is in HLR and still waiting for new ptsd exam.

April 2026: New PTSD exam.

May 2026: granted 100% PT for ptsd effective April 2026.

So at first I was thinking I could get backpay to the original tdiu date. But reading some peoples experiences on here, it seems like I am getting backpay to the exam where they found “new evidence” or worse symptoms. I am so not poking the bear ever again after this one, but just curious to see if I have a case for it at all. Like maybe asking to review TDIU denial and if they didn’t try and reduce me, I would’ve been granted tdiu and gotten backpay for that. Thanks all.
