Our experience at Aayush Hospital

My father has been undergoing dialysis at Aayush Hospital since July 2025. Initially it was once a week, then twice a week, and now he has to go for dialysis on alternate days.

For almost a month, he had severe coughing, loss of appetite, and evening chills . Every time we mentioned these symptoms in the dialysis ward, we were told it was “common” for dialysis patients. He was advised to take Dolo 650 for the fever and sleeping pills because he couldn’t sleep properly due to discomfort.

But his condition kept getting worse.

Two days ago, we finally consulted a kidney specialist outside the dialysis ward, and after tests it became clear that there was an issue with his lungs. We were asked to immediately meet a pulmonologist.

The pulmonologist diagnosed him with TB, and we were shocked to hear that it had already become serious. His lungs now reportedly have around 1–1.5 litres of fluid accumulation which has to be removed through a tube insertion procedure.

What makes this even more dangerous is that my father already has a weak heart and leakage in one of his heart valves. Because of that, even this fluid removal procedure has become risky and critical.

I’m posting this because I genuinely feel helpless and angry. We kept reporting his symptoms for weeks, but they were repeatedly brushed aside as “normal.” Maybe if proper attention had been given earlier, things wouldn’t have reached this stage.

The reason this hurts even more is because a few months ago, on this same subreddit, I had actually recommended Aayush Hospital to someone else based on our earlier experience. I never imagined I would come back here one day to share something like this.
