My humble advice to all new AC buyers. Please don't Cheap Out 🙏

Why do we buy an Ac? to sustain this Scorching Heat right?

Look at the temperature right now. Real Feel Temp is 48°

But do you know most of the ac's will fail above 42°?

So please get a Premium Ac and do yourself a favour. As Ac is long term investment, don't cheap out. You'd be actually saving money. How?

Because your "value for money" one's will be running 24/7 coz the Air Conditioner will struggle to bring the Room Temperature down to desired temperature

You'd be trying "High Cooling Mode" or keeping it at 18, all of this sky rockets your electricity bill.

These Ac's work well at other places like Hyd, or in June-July Months in Vijaywada. But aren't we buying ac to sustain Mar-Apr-May months here?

So be practical. If your budget is above 35k, I'm sure spending 10-20k more won't make your life upside down.

How much are we all spending for a mobile phone btw? And how long are they lasting?

Brands like General, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric won't fail at these temperatures.

The other brands you can look for are Lg, Daikin. Or maybe... Hitachi, Panasonic, Bluestar too. But please buy 5 star ac's only in the latter brands

Also try to get a true 1.5T Ac. Almost all brands are selling underpowered cooling capacity ac's as "1.5T Ac" but actually they are 1.4 or 1.3T, Not a true 1.5T

For those whose budget is less than 35k, I'd suggest to go for Window AC instead of Split AC, if room size is < 130 sft. Trust me, they'll give better performance than the split AC one's that are less than 35k

Uber/ola availability from poranki to vijayawada airport at 7AM.

So, I have inquired about car parking in Vijayawada airport few days back in the sub. Turns out that’s not an option I would want to choose. Instead I will park my car at my relatives house in poranki for a 4 day trip to Bangalore.

I never booked an ola/uber in Vijayawada. Do I get a ride at 7am in the morning? My flight is at 9am. Has anybody took uber/Ola to airport?

🌞

Vijayawada locals are accustomed to this weather, but what about others who have recently moved to Vijayawada or new visitors? They may never come back.

Our experience at Aayush Hospital

My father has been undergoing dialysis at Aayush Hospital since July 2025. Initially it was once a week, then twice a week, and now he has to go for dialysis on alternate days.

For almost a month, he had severe coughing, loss of appetite, and evening chills . Every time we mentioned these symptoms in the dialysis ward, we were told it was “common” for dialysis patients. He was advised to take Dolo 650 for the fever and sleeping pills because he couldn’t sleep properly due to discomfort.

But his condition kept getting worse.

Two days ago, we finally consulted a kidney specialist outside the dialysis ward, and after tests it became clear that there was an issue with his lungs. We were asked to immediately meet a pulmonologist.

The pulmonologist diagnosed him with TB, and we were shocked to hear that it had already become serious. His lungs now reportedly have around 1–1.5 litres of fluid accumulation which has to be removed through a tube insertion procedure.

What makes this even more dangerous is that my father already has a weak heart and leakage in one of his heart valves. Because of that, even this fluid removal procedure has become risky and critical.

I’m posting this because I genuinely feel helpless and angry. We kept reporting his symptoms for weeks, but they were repeatedly brushed aside as “normal.” Maybe if proper attention had been given earlier, things wouldn’t have reached this stage.

The reason this hurts even more is because a few months ago, on this same subreddit, I had actually recommended Aayush Hospital to someone else based on our earlier experience. I never imagined I would come back here one day to share something like this.

What do you think of this public policy idea ?

Idea : we should have a system where along with existing punishments , if a govt employee is caught taking bribes or seriously neglecting his duties, along with suspension etc , his next promotion should be postponed by 1–2 years and retirement preponed by 1–2 years.

Same concept can be applied for govt contractors , if they fail to deliver quality work, they should be banned from applying for new tenders for next 5 years.

Similarly for private companies/agencies, if they repeatedly violate rules then their license/permission renewal date should be preponed to a closer date.

This can also be applied to repeat traffic offenders , their license renewal should be preponed too.

Why can't we make something like this happen??? /meetups

https://preview.redd.it/3g7dl6ioq32h1.png?width=1105&format=png&auto=webp&s=a187dea5029ebbc914c7a44df50e0797c233e597

I mean, we have people but don't have places, but still, why can't we make it happen?

if Hyd can do it we can too, we are already paying prices like Hyd, we can also try to collab like Hyd

EDIT: let's plan something.

^(Note: I'm from GNT and visit Vij very frequently.)
