Can I put my wife's drive (SSD)into my PC as a primary?

So, my wife has a newer PC than I do, but it's a pre-built Acer one. It's slow and it can't handle even modest games. I'd like to give her an upgrade, but I don't want her to lose all her data and need to set up a new PC.

My old PC is dated now, but far more powerful than her PC. Faster RAM and more of it, an old 980TI which despite its age far outstrips her GPU, and so on. But the SSD is going out.

I would like to remove that SSD and install her SSD into it. Ports are compatible, both computers run Windows 10 Home.

Could I do this? What would I need to look out for or do?
