Regarding the Documentary

Hello beautiful people sorry I’ve been a little distant lately. Life has been crazy. I just wanted to give you guys an update that the documentary and soundtrack CD is close to completion and we should be shipping within three weeks. I just got do the final touches on the soundtrack album and the documentary credits and we’re good to go. Thank you all for being patient. I really appreciate it’s been a tough time. But it won’t stop me to make sure you guys are excited and happy with what you’re getting. Thank you again for ordering the documentary. CD

LOS ANGELES, CA – May 29, 2026 – Spooked Music Releasing today announced an unprecedented cross-generational pop culture collaboration: "Ulterior Motives," the iconic 1980s synth-pop song by duo Who’s Who (Christopher Saint Booth and Philip Adrian Booth), will be officially featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming sci-fi horror film Backrooms.

Directed by YouTube phenomenon Kane Parsons and produced alongside James Wan’s Atomic Monster and Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment, Backrooms is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on May 29, 2026.

A Perfect Storm of Internet Lore

The integration of "Ulterior Motives"—famously known across the internet for years as "Everyone Knows That" (EKT)—into the eerie world of the Backrooms marks a monumental crossover of digital culture. The song captured global headlines when a massive, years-long crowd-sourced search successfully identified the lost 1985 track.

With Backrooms drawing heavily from retro, analog-tinged 1980s and 1990s aesthetics, the nostalgic yet hauntingly familiar tones of the Booth brothers’ synth-pop anthem provide the ultimate auditory backdrop for the film’s liminal terrors.
