Crane Build

Hello all!

Just thought I'd share a crane design I put together. I wanted to avoid copying someone else's design and come up with own design for a future port I'd work on. Found this youtube video about medieval cranes and methods used to aid in the construction of large projects, like castles and stuff!

Thought it was awesome so I used the crane as the inspiration. Let me know what you think!

Stone Portal Hub Build

Finally completed my Stone Portal Hub!!! I knew I needed an upgrade since the Ashlands introduced the Stone Portal, and I wanted to make a build epic in scale on the run up to the Deep North.

My first plan was to make a plain stone colosseum and somehow incorporate the Drakkar into the design (it's the same Drakkar I arrived to the Ashlands in and wanted to display it somewhere). I made the original colosseum and had the Drakkar on stilts in the middle, but the build just felt... empty.

I spoke to a friend who said Vikings where one of the first to set up markets and recommended I add one to the build. The idea was really good, so I ran with the idea that an older civilization had first built the colosseum and had since moved on. Since then, the structure decayed with time only to be rediscovered and unearthed by the Vikings. However, the original purpose was lost to time, yet new life was breathed into the colosseum in the form of a travelers hub and market fair.

The build includes too many portals to use, stalls, a back alley for potions and the Drakkar which was first to discover the colosseum. I've also left some spare space for a stall and portals for when the Deep North arrives. All in all, this project took multiple months and 3 long valheim binges. Hope you all like it!
