Non-Traditional Students Internships

I’m a full time project manager for my state in a medical field but I was an 18D medic in the army too and I’m a bit sick of medicine. I’m going to continue working full time so I can only do one or two classes at a time but I see a lot of talk about internships. How do non-traditional students handle internships? I can’t really do unpaid work. I got bills to pay.

Severe Eye Condition - But Good Vision in Tests

I have a service-connected eye condition involving complete posterior synechiae (adhesion of the iris to the lens), with documented scarring and an early cataract forming. My VA ophthalmology team follows me twice a year because of the risk of progression and complications.

My main issue is that my standard visual acuity is still 20/20 in normal, well-lit conditions, so on paper my vision looks normal. However, I have significant functional impairment, especially in low-light or glare conditions.

I have severe difficulty driving at night and don’t do it anymore because I struggle to see lane markings and road edges, and headlights cause major glare and temporary visual disruption. In dim environments, I need to use a flashlight to read menus or navigate when others do not. I also experience what feels like double vision or ghosting in low light or when lighting levels change, although it seems more consistent with monocular optical distortion than true binocular diplopia. It causes headaches and eye strain triggered by prolonged screen use or glare that improve when I stop working and go into a dark room.

As far as I know, my visual fields are normal and I do not currently have active swelling, but the structural issue is clearly present with complete posterior synechiae, scarring, and early cataract formation. Basically, my right eye cannot dilate and is permanently fucked. Confirmed by multiple doctors and my original C&P (though I failed to upload documents for service connection, since fixed).

My second C&P is Monday and my question is basically, am I fucked? Do I get nothing for this since I can see fine in a well lit room?
