Goofy stuff going on at the top of the swing

Been really hammering tempo lately after a long winter of learning how to swing a club. With all three styles of club (Driver, woods, and irons) I feel that a huge problem with consistency is at the top of my backswing. I’ve attached a video of all three, sometimes it feels like the club is doing a double helix pattern when I get to the top and start my down swing and it’s really hard for me personally to stop it.

I guess what I’m asking is, is this a common problem? Im starting to lean towards it has something to do with my wrist collapsing or just general fatigue but I can’t seem to shake it. I’m hitting the ball really well for my standards but I feel like if I don’t fix the problem soon, it will incorporate itself into my swing and I won’t be able to shake it. It really started when I started to use my shoulders only in my backswing and it just may be a timing thing with my new backswing? Anyways, I hope someone else is suffering with this, hah. Thanks in advance y’all.

I broke 100 baby!

That’s right, bow before me. Hah! I’m playing, but I did actually break 100 and it feels massive. I ended up going to Vegas and playing on both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend. The first course was called Eagle Crest in Summerlin, but it’s a par 60 course and was really just for my buddy and I to get some swings in before Sunday. I ended up shooting 94 at a course called Conestoga in Mesquite, NV. Absolutely beautiful course and it makes me think how tough we have it playing these municipal courses because the greens and fairways here were like fucking silk.

I didn’t pull my driver out once, stuck to my 3-wood and longer irons off the tee box and I couldn’t be more stoked with how things went. Here’s to breaking 90….or my back….whichever comes first.

Anyone see an issue with my tempo on both my 3-wood and iron? I have tried to incorporate a few things that some of the members here have pinpointed in my swing and I really appreciate it. But I’m just hesitant to change anything now, I feel like for a man in his 30s who just started golf, I don’t want to complicate something when I know I’m just going to be sub-par for my entire golf career. Cheers!

Just for fun, let me know what you guys think my ball speed is, on average. Just six months ago, I was struggling to get it past 135. I finally somewhat understand how to swing a club and it has gone to a threshold I never thought could ever get to. I still currently struggle with weight transfer and transferring my hips correctly but it’s a work in progress. I am playing one of my first full rounds of golf in Vegas this weekend and can’t wait to be humbled shortly after, hah.

Numbers currently on the screen are not my current average. That was an absolute heel the swing before this.

Going to be my first season of golf and I’ve realized at the simulator, after an agonizing few months of not being able to hit the golf ball, that I have a draw no matter the situation. This is for both driver and irons. My miss would be a stronger draw, but I cannot fade a ball, even if a try. Is this solely on my grip itself?

I love where I’m currently at with striking the ball and am creating a lot of speed and distance currently, but am worried that this may be tougher fix down the road if it does end up being a problem. Anyone know if this is so against what we know about the swing where I’m basically doing it all wrong? Thanks y’all.
