I used to store my drill bits and attachments on shelves under our tankless water heater. The heater sprang a leak and flooded the plastic bins with all of the parts. How can I clean the rust off them? I'm thinking WD40 followed by a dishwashing detergent rinse. But I'm afraid everything would rust up again if not thoroughly dried quickly enough. And the socket sets and other items with recesses would be very hard to dry. Thoughts and suggestions?
